John Alcorn + Rizzoli

From the early 1970s to the early 1980s, former Push Pin designer and illustrator John Alcorn created a truly astounding number of gorgeous book jackets for Rizzoli, widely varying in style. We first discovered them via a low-res gallery on his website. (He died in 1992. The site is run by his son, Stephen.)
We scoured Italian eBay to find higher resolution scans of most of the covers featured on his site, plus a couple dozen others. We found 88 in all.
